Wow this movie was great. However, I think it struggles to find its footing for a while tbh and I really don’t think they need the cheating scene. I’ve been trying to guess the twist to this movie basically since the first trailer dropped and I NEVER could have imagined just how deep her confession would go. I think this movie perfectly puts a perspective on so much that hasn’t really been put out there by movies I’ve seen. Of course, the main topic and another topic are steep slopes and I honestly think a major plot point should not have been included, but the way they phrase these issues (specifically the main one) is what makes this movie so enjoyable for me. Also, this is a more personal complaint, I liked the movie so much I wish we got just a little more. Like something after the diner. I’m still somewhat happy with the end, but I just wish we saw some of the aftermath.

Definitely not perfect, but so what if I like the fun little Mario movie? Maybe you need more joy at home. However; I have two complaints. The Brothers should not have been from Brooklyn and the flowers should be eaten to gain their powers. Not just touched.

As someone who was actually pretty into the first Super Mario Brothers, this sucked. Going into it before I saw reviews I was excited and even when I saw the negative reviews about it being slop, I still came in with a positive attitude because, again, I liked the first one. This was total slop. I think there were some cool moments, that referenced older games that I enjoyed, and ONE arc with Peach and Rosalina in the movie. However, everything besides that was garbage. The story is mediocre and barely addressed its main villain I felt. Also, the Mario brothers don’t get one final hit in on the final battle?? What?? Anyway, this was slop and I also hated how they did Daisy in the end.

This was by far the weakest in the franchise. I don’t know WHAT they were thinking recasting the female lead but it was a horrible thought 😭. Them defeating the boss felt lackluster and quick for some reason, and I felt like there was no substance to this movie. The other 2 were somewhat entertaining because there plots weren’t horrible, this one just doesn’t do anything I was interested in. The big battle is cool but we’ve seen it before. I didn’t enjoy the family dynamic in this one either and then all of a sudden Rick almost dies and they give brief apologies and everyone’s “alright”.
