Sinners

It took me a whole day to come up with a proper review because this film deserves more than a one liner. So let’s begin, first of all I manage to convince my friend to come and watch this with me, even tho she is terrified of horror movies, but I knew that this was going to be a very important film (btw I was right), also I love vampires lol. When the intro started and mentioned west Africa and griot, I felt so happy because I may not be from west Africa (I’m Congolese) it still felt very good to see some representation from the continent. And during the surreal montage I felt an energy I had never felt before while watching a film it was pure magic, Miles voice will make you feel like never before. If you want to feel this please i beg go watch in theaters.  The details in this picture were so important everything on screen was important. This is the type of film that makes you appreciate every single aspect of what was put in it to make it work. And I know people say this often but this had it all, from horror to comedy, from vocals and great score to incredible choreography, from love to heartbreak, from incredible directing and storytelling to awesome cinematography. And don’t get me started on the performance that are insane. This was truly the most fantastic film I’ve seen and i will watch it again.  Thank you so much Ryan Coogler you truly are a genius.
