Prisoners
The time? 8:45pm. Another old winters evening, seeking refuge from another one of these cold January nights. I check the time left on the film… 45 minutes. I mustn't let it go unremarked that at this point I was enjoying the film. There were certain characters pissing me off at times, namely Wolverine, but the film sat comfortably between a 3 and a 3.5 [Don’t let this lead you to believe I wasn’t happy to see the cunty king make an unexpected return #livelaughwolverine]. However, when I saw that there were, but 45 minutes left, I started to draw the conclusion that this film, unfortunately would not be able to live up to my once exceptional expectations I had built off of my 2 fellow critics opinions. But from this fleeting hope, remained one singular ember, which that beautiful plot twist managed to kindle into a roaring inferno. Jack Twist, I never should’ve doubted you and your furious and at times distracting frenzies of copious blinking. This film surpassed everything I had expected. When I thought, the plot had stagnated, all my misconceptions were swiftly cleared up in a revelation that left me stunned more than I have been for a good while. This film was just what I wanted to watch to be honest. I love nothing more than a good plot twist and this far surpassed that. It certainly wasn’t the best plot twist to ever be seen, but the combination of recency bias and Jake Gyllenhaal serving cunt at the end, I order that this film simply must be a 4.5/5 at the lowest
Bon Voyage
