Non-stop action from start to finish—an adrenaline fueled movie

Still crazy when I watched this when I was a kid (RIP parental guidance) and glad that I didn’t get the ending and just remembered that iconic hallway scene. Years later and another rewatch today, that plot twist still as disturbing and sticks on you for days (and of course, that iconic hallway scene).

Surprisingly decent Paul W.S. Anderson movie. I remember when I first watched it years ago, I was underwhelmed and only remembered the airship battle. After rewatching it since it’s free on YouTube (but I watched it on Stremio instead), it was fun, and the clockpunk/steampunk aesthetic added a twist to this classic tale. And that cast was stacked, lmao. I don’t know how Paul W.S. Anderson convinced them with his filmography background.

Proper review this time, lmao. Out of all the wrongs and messed-up things that happened throughout the film. And yes, Bear did fuck up and was such a pussy, lol. But that 30-second clip right towards the end—Bear smiling at Nikki—there is something beautiful and an unexplainable feeling I got from seeing that scene (with that added soundtrack, it was a euphoric contrast to the nightmarish things happening). For a minute, they were in love, and maybe that's what it feels like to be in love. When you stare at each other and suddenly smile—that's the feeling I want to experience all over again.
