the first half hour of this was roughhhh, there was very uneven pacing, not great character introductions, very corny humor, and those dumb pizzicato orchestral notes that play during comedic bits that you’d hear in a Disney Channel movie. I do think this eventually finds its place and gets pretty enjoyable. it’s quite predictable and you can see who the killer is a mile away but I don’t doubt the writers knew that honestly, this refers to itself as a simple detective movie often. i think it had a lot of heart and a couple actually funny jokes that caught me by surprised. also, my girlfriend would die for winter lamb. anyways, nothing amazing, but quite sweet. 6/10

surprised by a lot of the response to this one bc i found it to be really fine. I think it actually did a good job at being scary but the story itself was pretty mediocre and some of the ideas set up were underutilized. also this movie did seem to have characters go back and forth multiple times which didn’t help. i think it was a fun time and there were a few parts i did genuinely like, but yea, nothing too special. 6/10

i still love this movie but i knock it down half a star because i do think it’s def a bit less gripping on the second watch, which i can’t say for a lot of other 9/10 movies. 8/10

i like the very start and the very end. everything in between was sooooooooo ughhhh. you can tell any good part from this was just taken from the book anyways (i haven’t read the book so maybe im wrong). soundtrack wasn’t bad, but i don’t think it fit either. and some of the weird sexy stuff didn’t gel well with the actual story. good sin eh ma tog roh fee. idk man i went into this with an open mind expecting it to not be as bad as I heard. i think i was disappointed realizing my interest had dissipated then checking the time and realizing there was over an hour left. 4/10
