Sharp Objects
Very late to the party, but I’m so glad I finally gave this a chance. From the first episode, seeing that Agnes Obel LP on display already set the tone for the kind of deeply dysfunctional family and relationship dynamics I was about to witness.
It was so good — for once, I found myself more invested in Camille’s story than in figuring out who did it. Her pain, her history, the way she carries everything.
I do wish the ending cut scenes were explored a bit more, though. I wanted to see how Amma and her friends actually did it — it felt a little too brief for something so chilling.
And yes… I can’t help it — I really wished to see more of Camille’s relationship with Richard!! TT.
I’m so weak for romance in non-romance genres. It somehow feels more intense, and also more heartbreaking when it doesn’t get that rom-com happy ending.
Overall, a haunting, beautifully heavy watch. 9.5/10.
