Cast Away
Tom Hanks carried the whole thing. Even knowing the basic idea going in I had no idea how the story would unfold and the buildup at each part was fire. Once he is on the island there is barely any dialogue but the acting and visuals do all the work and it never feels boring. The survival stuff is interesting to watch and there are even a few funny moments mixed in. Wilson ends up being his only real connection and that makes everything funnier. By the end seeing how the world moved on without him really shows and the final scene at the 4 way road feels like life forcing him to choose what comes next. This was very entertaining and easily one of the better movies I have watched.
