Black Swan
"It was perfect."
Black Swan left me shaken in a way I wasn’t expecting. It’s beautiful and terrifying, soft and violent, graceful and brutal all at once. Darren Aronofsky turns ballet into a horror show of obsession and identity, and Natalie Portman gives a performance that feels like she poured every part of herself into it. Watching Nina unravel was like watching a tragedy play out in slow motion, where the closer she got to her goal, the more painful it became to watch. The ending burned itself into my mind— haunting, tragic, and unforgettable.
This movie is haunting and heavy, but it’s also stunning. A truly incredible watch.
