Atonement

i avoided watching this movie for probably a month, but finally watched it with my bff. i have so many thoughts i cant wholly compile into a view, but one thing i do know: briony tallis needs to burn in hell for her sins..... throughout the movie, i wanted to punt her and that fuckass bob (/neg) across the planet. she pissed me off to no end, and the shock i felt at the plot twist that one, she saw paul's face and still put the blame on robbie, and 2, her reconciling with cecilia and getting yelled at by robbie was merely a fictionalized happy ending she "gave" to robbie and cece to appease the guilt she felt was HEARTWRENCHING. this movie made me feel so many feelings: love, happiness, anger, grief, shock, annoyance, and so much more. paul was such a sickening creepy person and i got chills from his behavior towards lola. i felt so fucking bad for lola too :(( ugh robbie and cece deserved so much better :(((( incredible fucking movie like a literal masterpiece. definitely will be a repeated rewatch for me. cannot recommend more!!!
