Even as Nellie walks into the darkness it shows her embracing the life of being unknown  Also I totally cried when Manny sees actors playing his friends at events he was there to witness :( all of them are dead :( Ugh and that’s another thing: death is so inconsequential to the narrative. From the beginning, coked up in the room, manny loves the idea that death can be so fake. Death has no weight in Hollywood. Even when jack’s friend commits suicide, it’s only jack that even mentions him again. The scene has already moved on, everyone has already moved on
