was interested about other peoples opinion on the ending so me being me i searched for said opinions and i came upon someone saying that the end symbolizes the fact that no matter how much time passed he (or his family) would never be free of the allegations or the consequences and i just think thats such a strong and beautifully metaphorical way to put it?? okay ill shut up now
