The Handmaiden
The version that I watched of this had a runtime of 2 hrs 40 minutes and I'm forever grateful that I actually managed to have seen the extended one cause wdym this originally was shorter??? This was way too expertly crafted/executed to be cut cause this was quite literally peak cinema..The performances were on point along with it's eroticism, great pacing, very gripping & engaging storyline with really clever twists, beautifully shot with gorgeous scenery and so well directed my god. I appreciate so much that this film has a little bit of everything from enemy to lover trope, dark reveals, sharp twists, funny humour and actual amazing chemistry! This is the epitome of peak storytelling.
