Sinners

This movie tried to be so much and succeeded at all of it. The opening scene immediately makes you curious and they feed you the context in such a satisfying way. It genuinely feels like such a lived in world with so much emotion and a haunting of the past. I mean sure it’s a horror vampire movie but it’s so much more, it shows the coming together of a community in times of struggle, a struggle no one else can understand. It deserves every ounce of praise.
