Matilda

What an odd thing to say.
Matilda is a broken mirror to me.
Watching this film not as a kid, is so... excruciating. Seeing parts of yourself in this film is crazy, crazy real, I mean.
Feeling different and not fitting in, reading books, saying "i read it in a book" or "I've seen it" almost every time people ask me "where did you know that?" (when I was a kid) The pressure, the emotions, the dialogues are all knives to me. And the more the film goes, the more the knives twists.
"I am big, you are small" bla bla bla. Why does age and size matters so much?! If the logic is "im older, im bigger, im better" well than the elders should die first instead of a baby who just take its first breath. The logic is insanely off.
I just hate the fact that she needs to have powers for ending trunchbull. Because it just made me believe that ending people like trunchbull would take such a miracle to happen. But in the end, I feel great watching trunchbull like that. Gives me so much pleasure by watching the kids participate in ENDING trunchbull.
In the end, thank you, i feel very seen in here.
