I don’t even know what to say. This film hit home so hard it was incredible. It is stunning, screenplay is impeccable and the acting is out of this world. As everyone knows this film is extremely emotional and for good reason. I loved how they left how Callum isn’t apart of Sophie’s life so ambiguous, the way they use the flashing black and white wave to represent Sophie and her memories of her father throughout her entire life and her trying to peice together who he truly was and what he was going through during the time he was with her was just magical. I just ugh love this movie so much, it depicts depression and hiding it the people you love perfectly. I love Paul mescal in this he is genuinely outstanding and elevates this movie so much. This movie also makes me feel if I rewatch in 5, 10 or even 20 years every time I’m gonna get something new out of it and find a new profound takeaway. Overall I love this movie and I’m gonna recommend to my dad
