i get why it’s considered one of the greatest films ever made. the acting was incredible, especially jack nicholson — he made the character feel so alive, funny, frustrating, and heartbreaking at the same time, it was just so so good. i think that what really stayed with me was how real and human the patients felt. you get attached to them so quickly, and seeing the way the institution treats individuality and vulnerability is genuinely disturbing, like what the fuck. also, the ending completely BROKE ME omg this is one of those movies that leaves you sitting there in silence after the credits because it hits so hard, absolutely deserved every award it won. immediately going in my top four yupp
