sometimes you just have to walk through the rain to a run down movie theater and cry watching one of your favorite movies. and the second rewatch in two months…diabolical. it’s embarrassing how much i relate to julie and being so afraid of choosing wrong, that you just have to keep choosing and changing and still choosing wrong. the way this movie makes me so happy and at the same time makes me want to buy a gun should be studied.

genuinely, how does one even rate this movie?! was it stupid? yes, sure, it was kinda stupid. was it shot well? no, not really. but it was funny. and it was warm and it actually made me tear up. it’s a warm story, absolutely wild, but warm story. so yeah i fucking liked it, sue me

***-How did it end up like this... how did you turn out so good and I so fucked up? ******…. -No, but... you've managed to...have a family. You have a home. -You know, there's a big difference in how you and I grew up. I had you. *** wow. it’s like they all showed up and said “let’s give a masterclass in acting”. the family dynamics. the art, the artists, the pain that comes with feeling so much OH MY GOD. the nostalgia and regrets, the love not expressed. it truly hit me like a ton of bricks, i feel seen in Nora, i am in shambles and will be rewatching it as soon as possible. also, i swear to god, renate reinsve with a cigarette is my favorite genre ever

sorry i kept getting distracted by how STUPID GORGEOUS THEO JAMES IS HOLY SHIT as a horror movie, can’t give it more than 2 stars as a comedy, i’d give it like 4 stars so whatever, right down the middle i guess
