Caché
Most thrilling movie with almost no actual thrills (besides one insanely shocking and unsuspecting scene) that is able to explore so many things in such simple ways. Haneke brings something to his stories where the actors are instructed to perform in a way that exactly translates how he wants to make his audience feel. This movie feels like paranoia; it feels like how anxiety justifies and validates paranoia; it feels like pushing guilt away only for it to boil over and splash in your face leaving you burnt and feeling even shittier. Love this.
