Frances Ha
Okay I watched this movie like a while back but I just came back to review it cause I find myself constantly thinking about this monologue in the movie where she says “But it’s a party and you’re both talking to other people and you’re laughing and shining and you look across the room and catch each other’s eyes but not because you’re possessive or it’s precisely sexual but because that is your person in this life. And it’s funny and sad but only because this life will end. And it’s this secret world that exists right there, in public, unnoticed that no one knows about” the way I see it this monologue is about friendship. There is something so intimate about having someone in your life who truly gets you to your deepest level, a level of understanding that often goes unnoticed by the others.
Another things that stuck with me is the ending when she puts her name in up the mailbox as "Frances Ha" cause her full name can’t fit and to me it meant that growth is a never ending journey It's a little reminder that life and friendships are ongoing adventures.
