Get Out
I wasn’t a huge fan of this movie the first time I saw it and I attribute that to having on as a background noise. Now that I’ve actually sat down to watch it I can understand what the hype was about. I was glad to see Lakeith Stanfield in this, he’s been a film crush since Short Term 12. The score was great and the shots were great, Rod was an awesome character to have cut some of these moments.

One thing I love in a horror movie is its social context and commentary. The villains of this story are recognizable to me. Rose’s manipulation and gaslighting tactics (Well my dad IS a neurosurgeon) *were insidious. I look forward to watching Jordan Peele’s other movies in this space.
