Daisies, directed by Věra Chytilová is abour two silly girls, Marie I (Jitka Cerhová) and Marie II (Ivana Karbanová), who are overall very cheeky and adorable i may say so myself. they have this cute mindset that the world are fucked. So they do whatever they wanted to do and fooled around. They just don’t care anymore.
What i love about this movie is how beautifully it was made. Every scene looks like it came out of a girlie girls dream which is very pretty and pleasant. You literally can screenshot whichever scene and hang it in an art gallery. This film is the cure to every sadness and the mundaneness in my life.
This film reminded me of the movie Valerie and her week of wonders (which is also one of my top 4) that was later released 4 years after this film!!
This movie is peak cinema pictures and art itself 🐐. After watching this, im very looking forward to Věra Chytilová other amazing works, she might’ve become my favorite director💕🙇♀️
