Very fun spectacle. Good to watch if you like action and fight scenes. Don’t go in expecting it to match the scale of homers epic.

Making supergirl kill krem was an intense but interesting change. I respect the creative liberties taken to change major details like krypto actually being poisoned in this but i wonder if they change too much about kara’s characterization. I still loved the movie and I’m not just criticizing because it doesn’t have the same energy as a comic book, I know that’s an impossible task, but I think changing the ending and core character motivations are bold moves especially since this is the general audiences first introduction to supergirl. I think it was a very good choice to follow Kara instead of keeping it from Ruthye‘s perspective. Not all changes are inherently bad and I don’t want to come off like that’s what my point is. I just worry that Kara feels a bit too self centered at the start. The movie was still fun and did its own thing very well. Milly is perfect for this role and I’m excited to see more of her.
