I hate this movie. It was so ugly to look at. I don’t think a single shot lasts more than like 10 seconds (it at least felt that way) before cutting to a different perspective (at max 4 shots were interesting and none of them lasted long enough). It wants introspection and engagement without allowing any time for it, of which there could’ve been plenty. No one is acting well in this movie. 80% of the scenes are from clearly bad takes but their hands were tied because of the IMAX cameras so they’re just in the movie. Costume design was buns. Dialogue was unbelievably awful. “Zeus’ law is…” yeah I think I understood the last 50 times it was explained. Hades section was good; that’s the 1 star. Casting was terrible (not for “woke” reasons since the casting was far from “woke”, everyone central to the story is white and some of the side characters are POC, very progressive lol) and I am so tired of seeing the same handful of people in every movie. Everyone speaks with american accents for some reason, which I don’t really understand. It can’t be for accuracy, it can’t be for “Nolan realism”, so I honestly have no idea. I also know basically every actor, so I know whose British, I know whose faking it, it’s very obvious, and they aren’t very good at doing the accent. It also hinders their acting so it is completely beyond me why this decision was made. Pacing was awful I felt every second of it. Structure was poor and obscured the themes of the story. Agamemnon had aura tho.

It kinda looked like a ps3 game at times icl

I don’t get the hype. This feels like one of those avatar movies where I’m supposed to be amazed by the world building or whatever, but I was bored and not very invested since the characters themselves didn’t really seem it, they all talk weird but then sometimes they talk normally but either way they sound incredibly unbothered or wooden? I was actually prepared at the end of the movie for things to finally get rolling, but then it ended. The whole movie is the inciting incident. Also could not discern any character traits of any character they’re either angry or like unbothered. Also the action looks shit it’s just people throwing themselves at each other and blue and red flashes.
