12 Angry Men

I don’t know why I keep getting surprised when classic movies are as good as everyone says they are, but this really is no exception. Each juror is characterized so excellently that whenever a vote is switched it feels earned, which is impressive for a movie with a relatively short runtime. The blocking is excellent, and every story beat builds up feels purposeful and really hammers home the messages of the movie. No wonder it’s a classic.
