Corpse Bride
I rewatched Corpse Bride this Halloween season, not just because it’s perfect for spooky vibes, but also to celebrate its 20th anniversary. I had no idea it was released the same year I was born, which made this revisit feel extra special.
Even though I don’t remember exactly when I first saw it, I’ve always remembered how it made me feel. The stop-motion animation still holds up brilliantly, elegant, eerie, and full of heart. The visuals and emotional storytelling are timeless, and Sparky… wait, wrong dog. Scraps still steals the show in his brief but memorable moments. Victor and Emily’s journey is just as enchanting as I remembered.
It’s a film that grows with you. Watching it again reminded me why I loved it then, and why I still do now.

"I do. I was a bride. My dreams were taken from me. But now — now I've stolen them from someone else. I love you, Victor, but you are not mine." 🦋
