Blade Runner 2049
PERFECT MOVIE 5/5
to begin, the visuals are done extremely well. Every color of light was perfected, from the iconic pink of the scene with Joi, the white used to light most of the neo-futuristic buildings, the green of streetlights, the yellow of the archives and the gradient oranges of Deckard's place.
The use of sound is something else that I took distinct notice to. For the most part this movie is quiet, which juxtaposes moments that need to be loud, like, for example, when K yells in the memory factory to the thought that he may be a real human.
The use of the elements (snow, rain) in a way that isn't influenced by any part of nature was an interesting juxtaposition. usually when we conceive of rain or snow we think of it in nature, but when used in a neo-dystopain sense it gives it a who new look.
all of these aspects develop some of the best world building ive ever seen in film.
Each actor was perfect. Even Jared Leto!!!! i think it was a perfect casting because he's already so easy to despise just because who he is. Becoming a ryan gosling fangirl slowly but surely
the film itself leaves the viewer with many questions, and this is exactly the way a film like this should end. I love it
Every time i start to think about AI technology in the future im sure ill come back to this because of the idea of "what does it mean to be human?"
