genuinely one of the most brilliant films I have ever seen. this movie utilizes the absurd technological innovations of AI to examine how we, as humans, learn to love. I loved that the movie took this approach because it examines love through the lens of emotion and thought, rather than the physical aspect of love (this part may be a personal preference).  also I think that the character of Amy was brilliant. Amy is a woman in Theodore’s life that he can go to with any problem he is facing and she is able to aid him through this in a way that is loving. Amy loves Theodore as a friend and I think that finding a person that you can platonically love without any intent of becoming a couple is something truly beautiful. A person who can help when no one else is there. also Joaquin Phoenix is such an amazing actor. He can convey any emotion through any character the only slight problem I have, and it’s more of a personal problem that is completely subjective, is that this movie can be dramatic at points where it doesn’t have to be. genuinely a great that examines love in a new innovative light.
