American Psycho
Say what you will about the “sigma” culture that has been created/and supported by this film. But unironically American Psycho is an amazing film, the casting of everyone is perfect, no other cast could nor can give yuppie the same way this cast did. And speaking of yuppie, the whole point of the movie is how smiler everyone is. It’s the whole point of the movie it’s literally what the first scene is all about, Bateman and the other people are arguing about who Paul Allen is, they can’t tell because they all look and act the same, same thing with the business card scene, all of the cards are look exactly that same but to them, they completely different even if it’s something as small as a different hue of white, or a slightly different font. The whole point is that’s Bateman wants to fit in, but he’s bored so he “kills” and that’s a whole different debate. How much of the film is in Patrick’s head? Did he actually kill Paul? Or anyone else in the film? All in all, if you look past the “sigma grind set” culture around the film it’s an amazing movie.
