Come and See

The subject matter alone is too much to process and the filmmaking brings the frightening horrors beyond the screen. Honestly overwhelmed by the last 3rd of the movie and don’t know what to do — There is a part of me that is uncomfortable with the sheer gore and destruction in the film. Any war movie that leans to spectacle makes me question why. I think for this movie though it is all in service of a single character’s transformation, and in turn the audience’s transformation.
