Subtly devastating and romantically depressing the whole way through. It’s rare for me to get emotional watching a film, but David Lynch certainly has a way with my heart.

Was that horse supposed to be Dillon Brooks!?

Now this is the ultimate conclusion that the MCU had always promised! *Avengers: Endgame *is obviously a very flawed movie. For starters, the whole time travel angle felt very unnatural for the agenda they’ve built up in this universe. It seems like they went that route so they could stack this movie up with fan service and nostalgia bait, but even if that’s the case it is some really good fan service. To add onto the anti time travel sentiment, they absolutely lost me when they were nonsensically rambling on about their plan for what felt like an eternity. Either explain it with care or just let the audience fill in the logic. Having your characters throw out a bunch of buzz words trying to sounds smart is not going to cut it. I also can’t write one of these reviews without complaining about how repetitive this film is, so there’s that. Aside from the usual garbage marvel storytelling, I do think this is an excellent ending to the greatest movie franchise ever. Of course we all adore these characters and their stories were wrapped up nicely and thoughtfully. However this ultimate blockbuster finale has spoiled over time with marvels unrelenting attempts to give the audience the same feeling that this film did. They’re even bringing RDJ and Chris Evan’s back in the next avengers movie! Just move on already marvel! And although there has been some bright spots in the half decade since this film, I enjoyed guardians 3 and some of the shows, I think they should’ve just ended it here, just call it a day and move onto another universe. Just enjoy the incredible universe, capped off with the perfect ending, but no they’ve gotta milk it for all it’s worth even if it means stripping your narrative of all meaning the further you go on. They’ve unfortunately just overdone it and bringing the original cast back isn’t gonna bring the MCU back to its glory days. Now this is where my rewatch will end, definitively this is the story, from *Iron Man *to *Avengers and Civil War *to *Endgame, *this is the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the greatest run of movies from any studio, and that will not change for decades to come.

This is a nightmare
