Secret Invasion

THIS MINISERIES WAS RELEASED DURING THE ACTORS AND WRITERS STRIKE OF 2023. STUDIOS SUCH AS MARVEL (DISNEY) NEED TO PAY THE ACTORS AND WRITERS WHAT THEY ARE WORTH TO THE INDUSTRY, AND THEY NEED TO PROTECT THEIR WORK FROM BEING EXPLOITED BY AI. This show was one of the better recent Marvel shows consistently, giving us a tense political thriller that we had not seen in the MCU since 2014’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Also, the casting was stellar with Nick Fury being stellarly played as always by Samuel L Jackson, Emilia Clarke as Gaya, and Kingsley Ben-Adir as a suprisingly detailed villain Gravok. His whole plan is to launch a Secret Invasion (hence the name of the show) and also find avengers DNA left over from Avengers Endgame’s final battle, since he believes that Nick broke his promise in finding the Skrulls a home. However, Secret Invasion fell off by having a rushed finale, that fell into a similar “Anime Final Battle” trope in it’s final episode, similarly to how WandaVision did back in 2021.
