Ratatouille
Man. I remember enjoying this when I was younger, but now I cannot stress how amazing this is. Brad Bird writes this story with so much sophistication, but it still contains elements which makes it feel as magical (if not more) as the rest of Pixar’s catalog. Remy and Linguini have such an interesting and complex relationship, this movie is really something I can grow to appreciate more and more each time.
Typically I don’t like when an animated movie looks mundane visually, but somehow it works so hard well here, it allows the food to take the visual focus, making the atmosphere of the movie feel that much more special.
And omg the Anton Ego sequence might be one of my favorite animated scenes ever.
AND THE MUSIC!!!!
In closing, I love that little rat 🥲
