Forrest Gump

This movie was just brilliant. Tom Hanks is absolutely incredible in most things he does and this is no different Forrest is such a likeable character that you honestly get lost in the film just watching him he makes you laugh at times and makes you sad at times and Tom hanks does a great job at giving off such an emotional feel. The cinematography is just beautiful from the moment the movie opens you can just get lost in the amazing cinematography. This movie has hands down some of the best cyclical structure I have seen in a movie we open with a feather floating down to Forrest’s  feet and one of our early flashbacks is of Forrest getting his bus to school and we close the movie with his son doing the same as the feather this time floats up away from Forrest’s feet up into the sky and they couldn’t have ended this movie better. The narration being used in a way that it’s Forrest telling his story to strangers waiting for the bus is such a nice way to use a narrator rather then having them talk directly to the audience and it works so well. This movie has so many great side characters that Forrest befriends such as Dan and Bubba who are honestly such great characters and like Forrest they are so fun to watch and also make you laugh from time to time but also play with your emotions throughout the movie. Honestly I loved this movie I loved the connection that Forrest accidentally had on the world around him meeting presidents and Elvis, fighting in Vietnam, investing in apple and helping people sell products on his run around America It makes the movie feel more connected to the real world. The soundtrack is just incredible as well. I honestly loved this movie so much and could watch it again and again.
