Ms. Marvel

Ep 1-This episode was fun and quite a good start to the show. It wasn’t anything amazing but it was still good. I loved all the references to other characters and other movies like the Thor secretly being a gamer. The animation and editing looked brilliant and it felt like we were in Kamala’s imagination. The soundtrack was really good for this first episode. I loved that star spangled man with a plan was playing at acengercon. This episode felt so much like the comics and so much like vol 1 with the party in the comics being swapped out for avengercon. I’m still a bit disappointed that they swapped out her powers and the episode did feel like it dragged a little but other then that it was quite fun. Ep 2-This episode was definitely better then the first and I am enjoying this show but I feel like the show is still trying to find itself and I believe it will in the next few episodes once the story starts to pick up properly. It definitely sounds like they are trying to set up inhumans in the MCU by stating that the bangle unlocked powers within Kamala. I enjoyed this episode and I liked that the DODC are using the drones from FFH that’s a nice little detail. So far the show has been enjoyable but nothing special but I have high hopes that it will get much better. Ep 3-This episode was definitely a dip from the other two. The only thing that was better was the action and the fight scene as I genuinely enjoyed that but everything before that was just so boring that it was almost unwatchable the first half of this episode just wasn’t good. Bon Jovi saved this episode with livin on a prayer as honestly the soundtrack is one of the best parts so far but I am also really enjoying Iman Vellani she’s a very accurate Ms Marvel I just think the show just needs a bit of a boost. Ep 4-This episode is certainly an improvement from the last but this show still just isn’t doing it for me I’m enjoying parts of episodes but it just doesn’t feel like marvels best work. Don’t get me wrong the acting from the cast is incredible and it honestly really helps the show but just everything else just isn’t doing it for me. This show is boring me quite a bit and at the same time parts of the show feel so rushed and it just makes the story feel so disconnected from itself. I did really enjoy the fight scenes but the main problem I’m having with this series is that the episodes don’t leave me excited and waiting for the next weeks episode like every other Disney+ show has done i just kinda forget about the show until the episode is out and this episode is no different. Ep 5-This is possibly the worst episode so far and it’s the second last of the series. The last 10 minutes of this episode were alright but the whole first half of the episode being set in the past felt so unnecessary like we already knew everything that happened just by characters explaining it earlier so there was just no need for us to waste almost a full episode showing us it but oh well. I honestly thought with this show we were gonna see more of Kamala being Ms Marvel in the suit and fighting crime but it’s not what we got. Something that did get me excited tho is the fact that when they tried to return home before they died they were crystallised which reminded me a lot of agents of shield when they turned to stone before becoming inhumans so there is hope for inhumans in the main 616 MCU. This episode has left me excited for the finally weirdly because it means we are finally gonna get Kamala in her suit and hopefully it is actually a good episode that does this great character justice. Ep 6-This is probably the best episode of the show it steps up above all the rest and finally delivers a somewhat entertaining episode. We finally see Kamala in her full suit and I honestly don’t think it should have taken this long but oh well this episode was just fun we saw a lot more of Kamala’s potential and it was a nice end to the show I think the character he’s been done perfectly it’s just the story wasn’t that great but I liked the little cameo in the post credit scene. Overall: This show was honestly quite disappointing I expected so much better for such a great character and the story really let it down the visuals were great all season and although the powers aren’t the same as the comics I kind of got used to them by the end I just wish we got more time with Kamala as ms marvel and I wish the story was a bit better.
