Obi-Wan Kenobi

Ep 1-This was honestly a great start to the show and a brilliant re introduction to obi wan. This episode shows us the effects of the 10 years without having to create unnecessary explanations. It felt amazing to once again see Ewan McGregor as obi wan again. The inquisitors were so intimidating can’t wait to see more of them. I loved seeing a young Leia especially as a more major character as we get to see that Leia was always this caring leader. I loved the return of bail organa and actually getting to explore Alderaan before you know. Owen lars was also great in this episode. I also really liked all the talk about the prequels which was obviously expected but it’s also something that Star Wars still tends to avoid all though mandalorian and boba fett did start this it’s great to see it again because the prequels are definitely the best time period of Star Wars maybe not the best movies but best time period. This episode was paced really well and felt quite fast but in a good way. Honestly this episode was very enjoyable a very good start to the show and very nice to see all these characters again wether it be younger or older.  Ep 2-This episode like the previous was really good and really enjoyable. After two episodes this might be my favourite Star Wars show. I loved that this episode gave a reason behind why Leia asks for obi wan in a new hope and honestly young Leia is a really fun character and honestly made me laugh a couple of times. I love the continuing references to the past like obi wan comparing Leia to Padme. I really enjoyed that we got a cameo from a clone and I like that the scene shows although the clones turned on the Jedi obi wan still cares for them. I loved the look on Kenobi’s face when he discovers Anakin is alive and the cut from when he says “Anakin” on a close up of his face to Anakin in what I’m guessing is a Bacta tank is just incredible cinematography. I’m loving this show so far. I am just waiting for this Liam Neeson cameo since Kenobi keeps trying to communicate with Qui Gon. Ep 3-This episode is just absolutely amazing. It’s so great to see vader in full power again he is so intimidating and we finally get a lightsaber duel although short still great. This show balances perfectly between feeling prequel era and original trilogy era like the duel felt like the original trilogy but the stormtrooper getting split in half felt like the prequels. I love the fact we get a Quin lin vos mention. I really like this relationship we see form between Leia and obi-wan and it gives so much more meaning behind her naming her son Ben I think the casting of young Leia is perfect and she has been doing a brilliant job. I will admit at some points vader looked a bit off and didn’t look right but it was still great. This episode was so much fun and such a good episode. Ep 4-This episode feels like it has quite a big dip from the other episodes and honestly uninterested me a little bit. I’m still really enjoying this show but something about this episode just felt a bit boring. However Vader was incredibly menacing in the scene he was in and that scene of obi wan and anakin in the bacta tanks cutting back and forth flashing to the fight was great but other then that this episode was pretty mid. Ep 5-Easily the best episode so far. This episode was amazing it feels like the show is finally getting to where it needs to be and this episode perfectly sets up the finale. We start the episode with a flashback which I’ve been waiting for since episode one and it was just so great to see obi wan and anakin training together again. They finally addressed how Reva knew Anakin was Vader. And that fight between Reva and Vader just showed how powerful he truly is the fact he was already beating her before he even used a lightsaber was just incredible. Ep 6-This episode was just incredible and definitely worth the wait. This is easily the best episode of the show and it was just built up so perfectly and they delivered on so many things this episode used dan service but in the best way I’ve seen star wars use fan service. When obi wan said “I will do what I must” I genuinely screamed out of excitement and that fight scene between obi wan and vader was so incredible it was kenobi and vader fighting the best they can and it just looked amazing one of my favourite fight scenes in a while. When obi wan broke the helmet and it was a mix of hayden Christensen and James Earl Jones speaking was just incredible as you could hear both anakin and vader. That scream from Vader when he screamed Obi wan reminded me so much of maul screaming kenobi in rebels. We get a nice cameo from palpatine which was just fun but it’s followed by the imperial March which just made me so happy to hear. Not only do we get the imperial March we get the force theme when obi wan visits Leia on alderaan. After 6 episodes we finally get a “hello there” and it was so worth the wait. Something we all hoped was coming was a nice cameo from the one and only Liam Neeson and we got it and it was so great to see qui gon in live action again. Overall: This show was great yes it had a few moments that weren’t the best but the show kept me invested in the storyline and excited for the next week and which doesn’t always happen with the Disney plus shows. This show gave us some great fight scenes some great references to prequels and originals some great cameos and it gave us some more live action vader in his prime. This show has some really great characters some of my favourites other then kenobi and vader being young Leia and Haja I think they were both great characters especially young Leia who I can’t stress enough was played brilliantly. I really enjoyed this show possibly the best live action show to come from Star Wars.
