Obsession

An absolutely insane movie but my god was it brilliant. This movie was so incredibly entertaining from start to finish it was so creepy and even quite funny at times but it managed to combine them perfectly into such a dramatic and tense story that is so fun to watch. Every performance in this film is just brilliant but most of all the character of Nikki is quite possibly one of the best yet creepiest performance I have ever seen every scene she is in just feels so unsettling and uncomfortable and the acting is just phenomenal. Everything about this movie is just amazing the way it is shot adds even more to the unsettling vibe, hiding Nikki in the shadows made the scenes so much more terrifying and it was just brilliant. The soundtrack is also brilliant and just helps to create the incredible atmosphere this movie has I genuinely felt so lost in the story It is such an engaging movie in every way it can be. It’s such a tragic horror movie, bear is genuinely such an unlikeable main character but I think that’s what makes this such a great horror movie, Bear plays the victim yet Nikki is the real victim unable to control her own actions and I think that’s role reversal having the scary character be the real victim and your “protagonist” be the true cause of everything is just genuinely so perfect, this is in my personal opinion a perfect horror movie not a lot of horror movies make me feel as uncomfortable and genuinely creeped out as this has, and I do have to admit that jumpscare got me.
