The Prestige

I was not expecting to enjoy this movie as much as I did but wow it was brilliant. There’s a lot of things I loved about this movie and you could tell Nolan was the director. The cast was amazing Scarlett Johansson and Michael Caine were brilliant side characters but of course the main focus is on the two exceptions protagonists/antagonists Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman who’s performances were both exceptional. What I found myself thinking throughout this movie is the fact you have both these main characters but I never knew who I was rooting for because deep down they were both as bad as each other and I think that’s what made this movie so enjoyable and special for me. I also liked the twist of this movie about magicians becoming something more after a scientific discovery. In classic Nolan fashion this movie was all over the place jumping back and forth however I found it easy to follow and perfectly done to present the story.
