Kill la Kill

(It’s 1:00 AM for me right now there’s probably a 100 grammar errors fyi I’ll fix it tomorrow 🤓) totalitarianism : it’s basically a government that wants you to completely obey them no matter what ————-*kill la kill—————————————- * Fascism at its roots starts when a government prioritizes themselves over the individuals that live in it by combining an extreme sense of pride with their political power and their actual military power.which in turn results in a totalitarianism society 99% of the time.But As we all know most of these don’t end well Mussolini the one who coined the term ended up getting executed and his dead body dragged around for show lol.and his homie Hitler didn’t end his life much better So it’s amusing that the creative team saw how closely related fascism (Fashizumu) and fashion (Fasshon) sounded and went from there by making the people who wear “”goku”” uniforms at Honnouji academy as a representation of fascism and that’s where the story of kill la kill begins and when ryuko arrives From the beginning Ryuko is obviously against fascism and with freedom based on what she is wearing compared to other girls even if she doesn’t know it. So through out the show while there are twists and turns the foundation of kill la kill is a fight for freedom. Mainly freedom of expression which takes the form of the lack of clothing Ryuko wears for battle when “transforming” (which i wouldnt recommend looking up around anyone since getting caught with this is harder to explain then getting caught with porn.) Still being absolutely embarrassed at first she soon learns to accept that with this freedom and power it comes embarrassment with for being different Its ironically very similar to my feelings with anime.I don’t ever admit in public I watch anime,because I know the looks I’ll get for liking it Where unlike me the anime just accepts the stupidness of the characters and the plot and not only runs with it but pushes it to the absolute limits of absurdity and that’s kinda why I love this show it’s a celebration on the idea of anime with cartoonish action,random visuals,and many tropes it plays around with till the very end with a nice message about being yourself even if your a absolute weirdo lol
