Like a modern day Aguirre but instead of klaus kinski it’s Nicolas cage and instead of the delusion being el dorado it’s heroin

Really enjoyed, a pretty dam great shortened representation of the book but still so full of Welles personality. It’s definitely good enough on its own too Welles really did so fucking well and even though it’s extremely condensed he touched on a lot of the aspects the book talks about and does it in a way especially in the priest scene pretty emotionally too. All is wish is that the ending was the same and they put the part about the window to me that’s the most emotional part of the whole book but overall really great
