2001: A Space Odyssey

2001: A Space Odyssey is a work of perfection by the masterful Stanley Kubrick. The sound design and visuals are spectacular but the cinematography and scope of it still manages to hold up over 50 years later. Also, this film somehow terrified me like never before with the overlapping vocals (also used Robert Eggers's The Witch) used in the opening and closing of the film. The things that usually confused people, primarily the last 15 minutes, are what petrified me and somehow became the scariest film I've ever seen.
