The Thing
John Carpenter created a real masterpiece with this one. Great cinematography, editing, writing, score, direction, and amazing practical effects. Not only is this one of the best horror films ever made, but this is also one of the greatest mystery films ever made. John Carpenter is an amazing director and this film was his passion project. And it shows! He goes all out. The near two-hour runtime flies by and never slows down. If you’ve yet to see this film, I REALLY recommend it.
