Cosmopolis
Cronenbergs digital world, a movie designed to not be liked. A character who floats above the plains of reality, Eric is a surreal figure and an icon of rationale, observing the world around him from a level above, emotionless, robotic, stiff.
There's so many different pieces of commentary about the state of the world, economy, capitalism, the 1%, society, ego, how life is a poison and if you succeed well enough it will poison you. Such a distinguished style here that I find so intriguing, there's a subtle 80s techno score that sort of lives beneath the movie that is so brilliant. Really think this is one of Cronenbergs best movies.
