Matilda
This movie was always special to me as a child, and it still is now, especially as I have gotten older. When I was growing up I felt quite similar to Matilda, I wanted to feel loved and accepted by my family.
Now Miss Honey, despite her up bringing and struggles after the death of her father, was a shining light of positivity for everyone, especially these children. And every child wanted her to be their teacher after watching this movie, one day, when I teach, I aspire to be just like her.
Both of them being in a happy and loving family at the end, like they’d been searching for makes me so happy. As a child this ending gave me so much hope for the future, and I have since found my happy, loving family too. This is such a beautiful story and it makes me emotional every time.
10/10 movie and Danny DeVito was amazing both in the movie and as a director. I also find it really sweet how his wife in real life (Rhea Perlman) is his wife in real life too. Couples who work together, stay together.
