mummy and i always finding the weirdest movies to watch on mubi.

storytime i watched this at night at a sleepover and we both fell asleep and then we both woke up at the same time at around 6:30am, finished the movie in bed, then went back to sleep. i think that is the only thing i can really note about this film other than i felt like the cinematographer was failed by the director/writer. also, i wasn't surprised when i found out that the director and writer were the same person. just that vibe.

first actual review kind of nervous 1. that title card was the most sudden and awful title card ever. 2. things i did like about this movie were that they pushed some really important agendas, like the need for an emotional support necklace and being against ai. it really hit hard for me when miranda priestly says "boy, i love working. don't you?", because a lot of people are passionate about their work and find value in it and its so shitty that ai exists. although this was a bad movie i really appreciate what it was trying to do and no one is taking that away from me. 3. andy sachs lobotomy! i feel like this woman age-regressed? she's in her 40s and she's stuttering and stammering all over the place lady get a grip. the biggest mischaracterisation of the century, and no consistency throughout the movie. 4. i think the best styling was when bj novak's character wore trainers with ankle socks, a sleeveless puffer vest and a turtleneck. i am amazed by how costume design was able to capture the lifeless and disgusting fashion of capitalism!
