Dancer in the Dark

My first Von Trier film! (if I don’t count House that Jack Built, which i don’t because i’ve blocked that from my memory) Oh my god. Thought it was a dogme movie until that factory scene starts, and then I was so glad it was not (or is it? i don’t really know) what a wonderful genre this made. so tender and so frustrating! i love Kathy. I love Paprika Steen. Fuck Bill!!!! The nonchalant young french around me were all shaking and sniffling loudly in the quiet moments in the end. It was all I could hear, and after a while it began to follow a rhythm of it’s own…. FUCK BILL. but nothing bad happens in musicals am i right so what am I even talking about haha
