Deadwater Fell

Cards on the table — I was here to watch David Tennant, the rest of this could have been whatever. Unfortunately, most of the rest of it really was ‘whatever’ (with a couple of good performances from Jumbo and Beattie in particular). And DT spent much of the first 1/4 in a coma, so….As far as the story goes, this is one of those dramas where we have to pretend it’s a whodunnit, but the script presents its digressions and red herrings so lazily that even the actors seem to give up the mustache twirling about halfway through and it just sort of becomes a trudge to the inevitable resolution which we all knew anyway.
