Pearl
I’ve not really been as confused as I have for any horror film, other than Pearl. I was so stunned by what happened at multiple points in the film. First, the scarecrow scene. I don’t think it was needed, and it was completely irrelevant. Mia Goth is a really good actor however. Standing for 3 minutes and smiling at the end, with no cuts is impressive. She’s genuinely crazy, but that’s what you want from a horror film. You want crazy, you want something that genuinely makes you question what’s happening. Was my two hours used well? Yes. It was. Now, let’s hope that I don’t get nitpicked for this ✌️
