On second viewing. I love this film even more. It’s such a rollercoaster which then ends with a massive gut punch. The idea to split the battle of Troy into 3 sections from 3 different perspectives is so clever and really adds to the ending of the film where you see it from Odysseus’s point of view and how he is dealing with the regret of it. Robert Pattinson is the standout actor for me, every time he was on screen the film just got better

The dialogue in this film is really good. RDJ and Val Kilmer are so good together

Aesthetically this film is just “chef’s kiss” however unfortunately apart from it being cool to look at and just being moody as fuck the film doesn’t really offer much else. I say this way to often but the average film today just doesn’t have this much sauce. It almost would have benefited from being like 3 hours longer which feels crazy to say considering it’s nearly 2 and a half hours long. It just seems to rush through so much of the story, in an effort to tell it all in one film, when many of the stories could have been their own separate film

You know what HELL YEAHHHH
