Loving Vincent
i’ve never watched something like this before but i was so intrigued i’ve always been interested in vincent van gogh (which i’ve now found out is pronounced goth) and i think telling the story of his death through art like this is the only way to do it
it was pretty cool to see artworks i recognise have context and their own stories, everyone in vincent’s life were so divided on him, some thought he was a genius and the other majority thought he was a mad man, me personally i think he was a genius and it’s actually so devastating how out of like 800 paintings he only ever sold 1 while he was alive and his brother gave them all away and the brothers WIFE published all his private letters just because he became famous and now she could profit off him.
i think if vincent sold more paintings when he was alive that he wouldn’t have died he felt like such a burden financially wise and i think if he was able to sell his amazing paintings, life would’ve been better for him maybe he wouldn’t have been lonely maybe he wouldn’t have cut his ear off there are so many outcomes possible if only people could see what he was then.
i bet you those same people became fascinated with his work when he was gone
anyway i would watch this again it was very interesting and i love art
