holy shit. this is the most heartbreaking, beautifully distressing and comforting movie i have watched in so long.  incredible performance from everyone, both halves of this movie were so individually amazing i haven’t felt this deeply involved in a plot in ages, i had to stop writing my notes and pay attention at one point because i was so alarmed the slight parallels in this movie is my absolute favourite part, from the car scene at the start with tyler to the car scene when emily is going to visit luke’s father the soundtrack, incredible, the visuals, incredible, i will absolutely be watching it again oh my god i haven’t cried like this in ages angry fathers raise angry sons this movie has everything from love and life to regret and death, i feel bad for this entire family “i can’t even look at you and not think of him”if only they just talked it out 😢😢 tearing up as i write this A24 will never miss
